Thamnophis sirtalis (Non-Venomous)

                             
Known as Common Garter snakes founded in North America .They have a yellow strips with brown or green background.their length is round about 55cm (22inch) and maximum aboout 137 cm (54 inch).their average body size is 150 gram.it is active in summer morning or  late afternoon but in cold season it stops its  activities to the warm afternoons.Its silivia is a toxis for the amphibians and other small animals but for human bieng its not dangerous but it can cause to them a little itching burning and swelling.The Female snakes GIve 12 to 40 birth to young from july to october They live in forests ,fields ,ponds,prairies to streams ,wet lands meadows  and marshes or near water.They eat amphibians ,earthworms ,fish ,small birds and rodents .Its main threats are Water contamination ,urban expansion,resedential and industrial developments.

Thamnophis sirtalis infernalis (Non-Venomous)

Known as Garter snake.These are found from Alasaka canada to Central america .They are spreaded through out the North America .They are carnivours like other snakes.They eat slugs, earthworms, leeches, lizards, amphibians,ants,frogs eggs,toads and rodents.when they are near the water they eat Aquitic animals.They can findother snakes by following their pheromeyn sented trails .These snake go to brumation before mate they do not eat anything about two weeks before mating to clear their stomach and they start mating as they come from brumation soon.Baby garter snake shed their skin immediatly and start eating.

Atheris hispida (Venomous)

Known as Rough Scale bush Viper , spiny bush viper,hairy bush viper.It is found in Central africa,south west Uganda ,west  kenya  .It calls by this name because of its kneeled scales which give him bristly appearance .The male snakes grows to maximum 73 cm length (body 58cm,tail 15 cm) while female grows of 58 cm.these snakes are capable of climbing reeds and stalks and their this species is often found in top of the flowers and terminal leaves .They eat mammals frog lizards and birds .Their female give birth up to 15 new young and they are about 15cm in length.

Naja pallida (Venomous)

Known as red spitting cobra.The length of this medium size cobra 0.7 to 1.2 meter which is 2.3 to 3.9 ft but it may be grow to 1.5 meter which is 4.9 fit in every rare cases.it is usually had a bright solman red contrasted with abroad black throat band and subboclar marks.it is located in africa and different species of this snake has different colours in different areas as like the species from southern keniya and northern tanzaniya have orange red colour with dark blue band.its dorcal scale on mid bodies are 21 to 27 and its ventrals are 197 to 228 and sub caudals are 61 to 72 rows basically its subscale are paired and its anal scale is single .It is also located in east africa which include  dijibuti ,eriteria,southern egypt ,somalia ,northern and eastrn ethopia .it is also found in dry country like keniya.These cobras are very fast and allert and they are more active during the day.the bigger snakes like to hid in big holes or grounds to cover them in all the day.when threaten the cobra pull him up and display his typical cobra hood.their dite includes of frogs ,toads birds and other snakes.the female cobra lay 6 to 15 eggs.

Dendroaspis polylepis (Venomous)

Known as Black Mamba.It is the most deadly snake in the World .They grow 14 feet in length and it can travel up to 12 mph.His head is just like a coffin.his body is brownish and grey with light belly and bownish scales in his back.By the colour of lining of its mouth which is purple black  and which it display when threaten it takes the name of black mamba.It is found in south africa .they like rocky places and open wood lands.They sleep hollow trees ,borrows ,rocks and they will come back every night to the same place .Black mamba eats small mamals ,rats,squirrells,mice,rats,bushbabies.once mamba found parrot in its stomach another with a full grown Forest cobra .It will strike a large animal and then it release the parrot when he is dead.everal weeks after a pair of mamba mate the female lay eggs from 6 to 7.Mostly these snakes are found in pairs or small groups.they are very fast when human approach to them .When mamba feel that there is some threat it will raise it front and head about 3 to 4 feet off the ground then he open his mouth spread a flat hood and then shake its head .No animal can kill them cz they are invulnerable .

Diadophis punctatus (Non-Venomous)

Known as Ring neck snakes .They are found in hout eastern and central north america .Their range extend from nova scotia ,Southern cubic  and Ontario to South central Quibic and Ontario to south Central mexico and cover the entire Sea board except for areas along the gulf .They like areas with abundant hidding place but they occir a very huge varaity of hebitats.They need moistend soils and need 27 to 29 degrees provoding optimal conditions . Normally the northern and western snakes to cover them under stones or with the loose bark of the trees which are dead or  woodland near rocky hills.Their dorsum blue grey to light brown to greenish gray but it is always solid except of its distinctive golden ring around his neck .Their length are 25.5 cm to 46 cm.female ringneck snakes reach an average 20 cm in first year which represt a 60 percent increase in their length in second year they grow 24.5cm and in third year they reach to 29 cm.Pheromones which release from the sking of femake ring neck snakes are attract the male in season of mating.Its longest recorded life is 6years and two months.They are only active at night .they communicate other cnakes by touching rubbing and head nuzzlings .They eat small slamenders ,lizards and frogs ,earthworms and juvenile snakes of other species .When the ring neck snakes are alarmed  their tailed is coiled and raised towards the intruders .

Heterodon platirhinos (Non-Venomous)

Also known as Hognose snake .They are found in the rocky areas of the USA and South Canada.They like the area of dry Loose soils but it can also be found in pine forest or woodland to prairaies,meadows and pastures. These are thik body snakes with a total length of  50 to 115 cm.They are marked with dark blotches on grey ,brown,tan or pinkish background.some snakes are overall black in colour.their main characteristic is thier wide head with their flattend upper hed sout.they are known to live 11 years but how long in wild life is unknown .They are active during the day but they restrict activity in the morning and evening in hot weathers.They rely mainly on their senses of smell to to communicate with others mainly when they are breeding.They are also very sensitive to vibrations and fair eye sight.They are mostly like eating small reptiles ,reptiles eggs ,small mammals as like mice,insects and small song birds.the major portion of their diet is filled with toads .thier digging abilities wide mouth and flexible jaws and curved teeth make them helpful for eating toads .they are pray sometimes by large birds of prey or snake eating snakes as like milk snakes and blue racer.They are important member of healthy eco system as they control population of pest ..
