Masticophis flagellum flagellum (Non-Venomous)

This snake is known as coach-whip These snakes are longest in their region and reaching over 8 feet and 244 cm.They are located in south Georgia and Florida.their pattern of the scales on their tail resemble a brooded whip giving the snake its common name.young coach whip are very slender and completely tan with irregular bands and marks on head and neck .they also found  from north Carolina to central California .They are active on day time and mostly see in Hot weather.At night or Cool weather they take refuge in boards or tins.Coach whip hunts by their sight .They eat a wide variety of insects ,Lizards,snakes ,birds and rodents.In many areas lizards are very important for Coach Whips and they are able to chase down like race runners .in their areas they are the fastest snakes and they often freak away When approached .
